In October 2011 our museum published in the Dutch language a bold and richly illustrated book on our Nederlands Steendrukmuseum as a tribute to the invention and development of lithography until now.
Authors: A.J. Vervoorn and ir. Peter-Louis Vrijdag
[Z] OO productions, Eindhoven
bound, 160 pages, 32 x 24 cm
This is what Professor Michael Twyman (Reading University) wrote in the guest book in March 2011: "A superb museum I have seen many printing museums around the world but this is the finest display of lithography I have ever seen anywhere Congratulations!"
The book is a timeless tribute to the lithography and stone printing. In addition to a fascinating description of the museum establishment and the first ten years, it is paid to the invention and the global conquest of the lithographic printing technique, the rise in the Netherlands, the lithograph in daily life and even the role of lithography in the manufacture of the microchip. Interesting are also the columns of 20 international professionals from more than seven countries talk about their relationship with the lithography.
Now translated into English!
From now on the book at a special price can be supplied with a complete translation in English. A unique book for any lover of lithography. But also a 'must have' for every library.
