Welcome Welcome to the homepage of the Dutch Museum of Lithography in Valkenswaard. This website offers you extensive information about the collection, exhibitions, activities and education. By clicking on the subjects on the left of this page you will be taken through the website. The collection of the Dutch Museum of Lithography comprises book illustrations, cartography, commercial posters and lithographic prints of famous artists such as Kees van Dongen, Alphonse Mucha, Adolphe Willette, Willy Sluyters, but also playing cards, labels, picture postcards, prints, caricatures and (satirical) magazines. Apart from the permanent display the Dutch Museum of Lithography regularly presents exhibitions about artists or a particular theme. The Dutch Museum of Lithography is a living museum, a `musée vivant`. The lithographic presses on display, among which a replica of the first wooden pole press by Aloys Senefelder are not only there for admiration, but a great number of these machines is still frequently used. Our own studio is very special with beautiful lithos being made here by many Dutch and foreign artists. It is a very popular place for making prints and graphics in small quantities. Moreover, the studio is used for a selection of workshops.
